Purpose

Creation and distribution of alternative gas fuels based on biogas in Ukraine

• adaptation of existing equipment to use biogas fuels with maximum efficiency.

Description

Biogas is a promising fuel for Ukraine, a direct substitute for natural gas, with the potential to produce 10 billion cubic metres annually. Biogas can be used for the production of biomethane, including CBG and LBG automotive fuels, and hydrogen. The authors of the project have extensive experience in processing and using landfill biogas as a fuel, and have created the first biomethane and liquefied gas production facilities in Ukraine. The project envisages the creation of a pilot project for the production of biomethane, commercial carbon dioxide and (optionally) hydrogen for further distribution in Ukraine. Biogas fuel can be used to generate electricity and heat in cogeneration plants and for use in road transport.
