Hydrogen technologies of decarbonization
Development of technology for burning mixtures of hydrogen and natural gas using the existing boiler base
Purpose
Development of technical and technological means for the use of hydrogen in existing or upgraded boiler equipment and selection of rational ways to apply such modernisation of fuel and energy complex equipment for its stable operation on new fuel, subject to environmental safety requirements.
Tasks
- development of a concept, technology and laboratory setup for experimental study of the process of combustion of hydrogen and natural gas mixtures;
- conducting experimental research and developing practical recommendations and ways to adapt hydrogen technologies to work on the existing boiler equipment base.
Description
The method makes it possible to create a closed-loop process of hydrogen use without replacing the existing boiler base or individual structural elements of combustion plants and improve the environmental situation in the region.
